2007 dates for Salsa Celtica’s annual spring UK tour will be announced on the Salsa Celtica website on Friday 1st December. We will be travelling as far north as Inverness and as far south as Brighton, with two festival dates also included in the tour. Check back on December 1st for all the details.

Salsa Celtica have been chosen for the prestigious ‘official showcase’ for Womex 2006, the premier gathering of international World Music industry representatives. For more information click here

Today we catch a flight to Seville to showcase at the annual world music conference of Womex, where we’ll be performing in front of delegates from the world music industry who have flown in from all over the world. The show is also open to the public so if you live in Seville do come along and see the show. Info on tickets can be found here

BBC4 will be showing two one hour specials of highlights from this year’s Cambridge Folk Festival. You can catch the shows between 9pm and 10pm on Friday 13th October and Friday 20th October with the second programme featuring a performance of Café Colando by Salsa Celtica.

Once again it’s time for nominations in the Scots Trad Music Awards winners of which will be announced between the 1st and 3rd December 2006 at a weekend event in Fort William, Scotland. Voting is open to anyone from any part of the world and we’d love it if you’d take part and put in a good word for Salsa Celtica.
